ONE MONTH AND COUNTING....

Whats that?? You wanted to know what was coming up in exactly one month. Well I will tell you, but I hope you are sitting down...because its big...its huge...NO I'm NOT HAVING A BABY! I'm going on a DISNEY CRUISE!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

MICKEY HERE I COME!!!!

Yes all for the love of Disney...would I sit on a ship filled with 1000 spoiled bratty kids. But you know I forgive all of them, out of my pure love for Mickey and Friends. I know, I know I'm a complete whacko. But its true. Besides its nearly impossible to find good friends now a days, I can always count on the Disney clan to be there! Ahahahah. Man I just crack myself up.

Anyways, I'm sooo very excited. I've wanted to go on a Disney Cruise for like 5 years, and well I'm sure you can all imagine how my husband was just jumping at that opportunity. Hahaha. So he's agreed, after we found a smokin good deal. So now we wait. One month to the day. Oh and did I mention that afterwards I will get to hang out with my sista Sarah. (Yeah I talk gangsta, I've been driving the pimp ride too much) Yes and I will be there for her birthday too. I know, I KNOW!!! Give me sister of the year award already!!! Man I am on fire tonight. Its a good thing that I am the funniest person I know.

So anywho, just wanted to share my excitement. This is why I am so frugal, cause I like to spend my money on making my vacation memories...Thats what will last - my memories...not that dumb meal that cost $50 that I won't even remember I had in a week...But my wonderful Disney cruise...ahhhhh I can't wait....

Oh...I forgot to mention, on Disneys own island Castaway Cay, they have an adults only beach...no bratty kids and pee infested water for me thank you very much. :)

The stupid stupid stupid SALSA

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That was loud, I know. But let me tell you about my salsa experience over the last ten mins, and last month... I know I have no life..but I'm REALLY annoyed.

Okay so I eat chips and salsa like they are going out of style, and most of the time I eat so much of them it replaces that meal. So about a month ago I was at Costco, and was like oh yeah I need salsa. I LOVE the "Pace Picante Medium"big bottle they sell there. So I got two, because I'm a pig, and could go through those easily in like 3-4 weeks. So I'm so excited to have chips and salsa later... and then I tasted the salsa! GROSS!! I don't know what was in there but it was not the normal stuff. Good thing I got two right, wrong. Opened the second one the next day, same thing. Gross and gross. They just weren't right, they weren't spicy and they tasted like poop. I was very sad as I love to shovel the chips and salsa into my face as fast as humanly possible. But no chips and salsa for me, because I couldn't stand the nasty taste.

So last night, at Costco I'm like okay lets hope this is a new batch and it will be better. But to be safe, I'll only get one. They're cheap enough, but I've already wasted like $10 on two that I won't ever eat again. So one it is. So about an hour ago, I decide, oh yes chips and salsa I can hardly wait. I opened the salsa and poured it in a bowl, it smelled normal. And my mouth started to water, I could hardly wait to shove it into my mouth...tried it...normal!!! HOORAY! It was soo good, so of course I keep eating and eating and eating. Then I go to put my un-eaten part back into the salsa container, get it all closed and go to put it in the fridge. When what happens...I DROP IT! It hits the floor and shatters (its plastic might I add ) and salsa goes everywhere within a 3 foot radius. All over my pants, and all over the fridge, all over my shoes, all over anything and everything. You can imagine the obscenities that were coming out of my mouth. The one ONE good salsa I have now ruined all over my floors...just staring at me, like hahahha you have to clean me up now. So now I've wasted what like $15 on stupid stupid salsa. And I finally get a good batch and I frickin drop it on the frickin floor...you've got to be kidding me. So that was a fun 15 minutes cleaning that up, and now my kitchen has this wonderful tomato and pepper smell. Its just lovely. I couldn't be any happier about the whole situation. Stupid salsa.

The Dog, and My husband and some other thing...

So there is this dog...actually make that about 6 dogs that live within the like 7 houses around us. So since I am not a pet owner, and not much of a pet person, I'm hoping someone can clarify something for me.

WHY IN THE HECK DO YOU LEAVE YOUR DOGS OUTSIDE IN 3 DEGREE WEATHER OVERNIGHT!!! And why oh why do you let them go on barking non stop all day and all night. And of course when one barks they all bark. Does that sound like some sort of music to them, cause to me, it sounds really really annoying. But seriously, its like 3 Degrees at night, and they leave them outside overnight!! Can't they freeze, or isn't that illegal or something. Well mostly I'm annoyed by the stupid things, cause they won't just shut the heck up ever. Its like all these different kinds of barks too...and heaven forbid I go out into my own backyard...cause then they really go wild. And I tell them to shut up and that they are annoying, but those little bratty dogs just don't care. Can't you just let me make my snow angels in peace!!!

Okay so onto my second section...my husband.

I forgot one of the most very important things in my 100 things. That would be that my husband snores louder than anyone in the world. There is no comparison, you can't even try and tell me that you know someone who snores louder. It is IMPOSSIBLE!! So for the last 8 years I have become accustom (sp?) to sleeping with earplugs in every single night of my life. Even if he's gone I now still have to sleep with them. Now you're thinking, its not that bad...but it is.

So I can STILL hear him through my earplugs. I can hear him through doors, and through floors, it doesn't matter... If he's in the house, I will hear him, even with the earplugs in. Can you imagine how much I must love someone to be willing to sleep with earplugs every night of my life??? Its alot, I assure you.

So now I have figured it out, here's my nightly ritual... I put in my earplugs, then we turn on our window air conditioner fan. Which is loud, so between that loud loud fan and my earplugs, it feels like how a normal person must sleep. So peaceful and quiet. Until you get used to that and try to go sleep in a hotel...not good. You're awake all night listening to hhhooonnkkkkkshhhhheeewwwwww....... ahhh crap.... So then I'm like you HAVE to wake up and let me fall asleep first. Well now that is just impossible, no man can stay awake, once they are gone, they are gone.

Thank the lord for my sister Heidi who introduced me to the best earplugs ever. Yes there is a difference, and these ones we have to go find at a pharmacy in Hillsboro. Oh geez, what I do for my husband.

Now what was the other thing I was going to vent about...hmmm...

Oh yes, why do people feel the need to be know it alls? Please oh please tell me. I can be a know it all, but I assure you, it is only about things I know that I do know, because if there is one thing I really hate, its admitting defeat or being wrong. So I will only be a know it all, if I really know it all. Lol. Okay but seriously... there are people who know more about Disney than me, do I know any of them ...no... so if you want to talk about Disney, expect that I will know it all. Because I will know more than you. So don't ask me a question wanting my answer, and then when I tell you, say no you're wrong. Thats annoying.

Or another thing...traveling. Tons of people like to travel, I love to travel. I can get you a great deal on just about anything... But if you don't travel, like ever... Don't try to tell me about what taxes you'll have to pay, and what this and that you're going to have to do. If I'm booking it for you, I will tell you everything. Because I want you to have a great time, and be as stress free as possible. SOOO...if you're thinking that you know something about it, try asking instead of well I know this because Suzies aunts daughters sisters boyfriend told me that was the way it is. Stupid. Just drives me crazy, crazy, crazy. Its a wonder why I hardly like anyone in this world.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!! I know my hubby did, because just as soon as I paid off my car two weeks ago, he's already purchased another one. Little does he know I'll be taking that car myself once spring comes. Its pretty gangsta and so am I, so its only fitting. :) Now for the name...Brody or Croix (silent x...think St. Croix) Whats your vote??

In addition to my previous post...

So here's another thing... (got this idea from my friend Abbie's page, but hers is nice and more about Christmas, mine is me ranting obviously)

Everyones broke right? I mean really, most people are hurting from the economy, I won't get into their normal overspending since we already covered that in the previous chapter. :)

So how did it become the "normal" for all the spoiled rotten kids in America today to expect new XBOX 360's and new Nintendo Wii's and cell phones, and ipods for Christmas?? I'm sorry, your child is already bratty enough now you're going to go purchase a $300-$400 gaming system?? Really? What did you get for Christmas when you were that age? Cause I'm pretty sure it wasn't something that expensive. And if you did, well then that probably explains alot.

I just don't get it, so you're really broke, already spend on stuff you shouldn't and then go spoil your children rotten for Christmas. All because most parents are too afraid that their children will be mad or sad because they didn't get what they wanted for Christmas. Thats really annoying. And sad too, I'm sorry but when did children start running the household?? What do they contribute. I'm not saying kids aren't great. But I'm saying most of us work to provide, most children now days don't even have chores to do. And if they do, they don't usually do them.

What happened to chores and having responsibilities as a child. When I was in middle/high school we didn't get to do anything until we had helped with yard work or mowed the lawn during summer. It wasn't just like ohhh hey my dear sweet child, I work full time, buy you whatever you want and I'd love to do everything else too, including cooking and cleaning and yard work too. You're right you should get to go hang out with your friends every second of everyday. Because your 6.5 hours of school everyday must really really stress you out. So you go ahead, I've got this. You deserve to have whatever you want, because you've worked just so hard in your life, and I deserve to stay here. And you wonder why I don't want kids!!!! Come on now! Its like one disaster to another. Just because most parents can't say no.

I'm not saying all parents are like this. And god knows, I LOVVVEE the ones who aren't. But I'm just so sick of kids running their parents life. When do the parents get to enjoy their lives? I know what most people reading this are thinking...she doesn't have kids, she doesn't know what she's talking about, and she has no room to talk. Well this is my blog so I can say whatever I want. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You're right, don't have kids, and this is mainly the reason I don't want them. I would never NEVER want to turn into most parents who just work to give their kids un needed toys and things to make them so happy. When do most kids try to make their parents happy?? Is it when they want something...hmm imagine that.

So my final thought is, really why does everyone feel it soooo necessary to spoil their kids rotten?? Are you really that afraid that your child will be mad at you if you don't. Cause I've got news, more than likely they're going to not like you for something else. If you always give them every single thing, how on EARTH do you expect them to make it in the real world?? When they're living with you at 30, just re-read this and maybe you'll think differently about that gaming system, or ipod or cell phone or TV or computer. Whatever it may be. Or maybe not, maybe you're child or children will be the one child in the entire world who is thankful for what they have, and not feel a sense of entitlement. But don't worry, I'm not holding my breath.

Man I love blogging, this is fun!!!! In all seriousness, I've met a few families this year who are doing only homemade gifts and this includes gifts for the kids. And families who only do donations to charities in their friends or family members names. What an amazing concept. Helping others!!! Isn't Christmas suppose to be about giving to less fortunate and seeing their happiness when you put food on their plate, or gave them fresh drinking water, or helped save a life by donating to a charity. Not about how far into debt you can go? Want to know what my favorite gift was last year, homemade hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows, both homemade...by my dear mommy. They were delicious, and I know she put her heart into it. Those are the things you remember...Not the video games, and not the cell phones or cameras, or tv's or computers, and the list goes on and on and on. There's my food for thought for the day....

This Economy

So I'd love anyones thoughts and ideas on this...

Here is my current frustration. So the economy sucks, yes we're all aware. I feel so thankful everyday that I have a job and so does my husband.

When the economy started going down the drain, we started making some changes. Things like not going out to eat AT ALL!! We changed the way we grocery shop, we even started going to a new grocery store. I try to buy less clothes :) and we've just become very frugal. Every purchase we make is very thought out, and something we both discuss. We've been able to do a great job of saving, and putting away some money. But here is my huge huge frustration..... keep reading....

I'm so sick of listening to people complain about it, but then they have no problem going out to eat. Or they go out and have a night on the town. Don't you realize how much these things cost? Or is it just that I am so paranoid about us going into the Great Depression that if seems Art and I are the only ones really truly changing the way we live. Things we used to get without a blink of the eye at the grocery store we take a second look at. It drives me CRAZY when people complain about money and then buy all these un-needed things!! CRAZY! I don't complain about money because I know that when we spend it sometimes its on something big and not really that responsible, but we are making daily changes in our lives to save and prepare for the what if's going on right now. But I'd really love for someone to inform me on why it is that most people who complain and cry about not having any money are the first ones to run out to eat, or grab a drink, or go to the movies, things that in reality aren't necessity. Why oh why...please tell me. I don't know why I even care, its not my life, but I just get soooo sick of hearing about it. If you really are being hit by this economy, you should be making small daily changes. What things can you live without for the time being? The economy will bounce back eventually, but wouldn't it be nice if you could learn a better way to live, and not spend on things that add up so quickly. All you coffee drinkers know how I feel about that!!! LOL! $4 or $5 a day adds up to around $120 a month...its the small things that we really can do without that add up.

Well there you have it, I'd love to hear anyones thoughts....

100 Things about me

A little about us...

Well I'm new to this blogging thing so lets start with a little about us...

Art and I have been married for almost 8 years!!! Crazy how the time flies. Arthur is my best friend, and I'd rather hang out and spend time with him than do just about anything else. Yes people may say I have no life and am a homebody...but I love being at home spending time with my husband. Enough mushy stuff.

We currently live in Bend, Oregon. Although if you know us, you know we love to move. We started out in Salem, OR, then to Vegas, then to Portland for 4 years, then to San Diego, then here we are in Bend. Who knows where time will take us next.

Arthur works for Verizon Wireless, and has for 4 years. He'll be transfering to the Redmond store come the first of the year as an Assistant Manager. Funny thing about him working in wireless is that he never ever used to want a cell phone back about 7 years ago, and now he has 2.

I work for Ann Taylor Loft as a Store Manager. I love my company and have been with them for almost 4 years. I'm getting better at not buying so much clothes, of course with new designers sometimes it isn't that hard. LOL.

We love love love to travel! We plan our vacations 1,2, and 3 years in advance. Its usually Sandals, or somewhere tropical where no kids are allowed, and then the second vaca of the year, is usually something Disney. Thats also something you should know...I'm a Disneyaholic!! Its such a happy place where you can forget all your worries.

We don't have kids or pets. We're selfish, and we know it. We don't want children. No offense to anyone with them, as you all know I LOVE my nieces and nephews...its just I love my life now, and wouldn't want to change a thing, so why fix whats not broken.

Thats your about us section, pretty much sums us up.
